Speed Reading Test

The average adult reads between 200 and 300 words per minute. People who enjoy reading typically read above 400 words per minute. Many people read at speeds above 800 words per minute and maintain excellent comprehension.

For a much more comprehensive assessment of your reading skills you can download and try the free demo. In addition to tracking your speed, the program will also track your comprehension. The tests are divided by grade levels 1-12 plus an adult level. The demo will also give you a good feel for how it can improve your reading skills by pacing you to read at higher speeds. The Pro versions include eye pacing drills that will lead you through the training process and fun/challenging eye exercise games. Download and try it today! Let AceReader help you double, triple or more your reading speed.

AceReader is primarily a "how to read better" program. It concentrates primarily on reading fluency, reading rate and comprehension. AceReader is also used by many optometrists and reading education specialists who work on issues such as dyslexia, vision training, vision processing and other related issues.

Dr. Bloch is an optometrist who has been using AceReader for years with his patients. He has found that to gain peak reading performance, peak visual performance is required. We are currently working with him on creating a special version of AceReader that will concentrate on his methods of helping early readers and patients who have certain vision and reading related issues.
